I can handle water on my glasses, but not in my eyes. I must have a hat on when it rains or I go blind. I can't open my eyes in the water. When I took swimming lessons, I was too young to fully understand that this was why I couldn't learn to swim (a big part of it, anyway).

mingling

When I mentioned that I was disappointed that there wasn't more mingling at our reception, I didn't mean to imply that I was disappointed *in anyone*. Or that someone should have acted differently.

I know how people are, and how difficult it is to talk to someone you don't know.
