First of all, I want to say that regarding list I posted yesterday, there was nothing regarding cuts that would really piss me off if a rules was broken.

When I suggested you cut extremely long entries, I meant extremely long entries.

There's another reason to put pictures behind cuts. If your picture hosting website has bandwidth limits, you probably want to hide the images behind the cut tags. Every time someone refreshes his friends page with any of your images, this brings you closer to no more pictures. I realize that not many people have this problem, but I thought I'd point it out.

When I was talking about quizzes, I meant the "What ______ are you?" kind of quiz. The list of personal information quiz is just text to be scrolled past informative personal info.

Here's a suggestion for worksafeness. If you have any users/communities that often post things you shouldn't be having on your work computer, move those journals out of your default view, and into a filter. Then make your default view public. Then when anyone who is not you views your friends page (the address of which will show up in your IT department's logs) those posts will not be able to be seen by that person.

This was supposed to be the big weekend for doing Bill's roof. After nearly two months without rain, guess what. Friday afternoon, it started raining. It kept raining off and on through saturday evening. today, I got over to Bill's at about 9:30. Todd and Ian were already there and tearing off. I really wasn't looking forward to the tear-off, but it turned out okay. Strenuous, but it went pretty quickly. Not quickly enough, though. We were about half way done with the fourth side of the roof when it started raining. It pured for about twenty minutes. By the time we were done, it had stopped. It started again, though before we got all the tar paper down. After that, we quit and got pizza

Around 4:00, the sun came out. I went back to Bill's by 5:00. We got some holes cut for his skylights, and put them in place.

Yesteday, since I wasn't roofing, I went to Cindy's. We went to Forest Home cemetary, where I shot over a roll of film. And we went to Home Depot to order some door installation. We watched Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Pretty good.

And LiveJournal is sucking. I've only been able to get to about five entries on my friends page, and no comment pages.
