My jade plant got severe frost damage this winter. I thought it only killed off the leaves, because new growth sprouted all over it. Unfortunately, yesterday I noticed that it is shriveling up at its base, so it is not long for this world.
Many of the little branches that started up (but never really got big) are sending out rootlets at their bases, so I think it should be easy to use them to propagate new plants.
Can anybody give me some tips? Should I break them off at the joints, or cut them just below? Let them dry for a couple of days and then stand them in soil? What kind of soil mix?
