...or not.
I signed up for a water heater and installation at Home Depot last night. $220, plus another $220 for installation. They said I would get a call today to set up a time for the installation. I got a call at 12:30 saying he'd be over around 2:00-2:30. I was hoping for Friday, so I could clean the basement on Thursday evening (so there was room to get to the damn thing, without my stuff getting all wet. So I was going to leave work at 1:30. I got a call at 12:30, saying he was on his way, so I had to rush home, and got there just as he did. I pushed a bunch of crap out of the way, while he was getting his tools.
He couldn't hook up the wiring. The conduit didn't reach, and the wire was too small a gauge. So I still don't have any hot water. I have to get Bill to help me with that (assuming I don't have to get an electrician), and that will probly be tomorrow night. *sigh*
And then, he had the new one hooked up before the old one was drained, so I agreed to let it stay down there until it was empty, and I will take it outside myself, and he will come back to pick it up next week.
And I had to take half of my one remaining vacation day. But I was able to get online. And mail some CDs. And get my game together for tonight. But I'm out of clean dishes. Maybe I'll have to do them like we do when camping - heat water on the stove. I wish i could take a shower like that. :-/
