Man, it's hot

The heat doesn't usually bother me very much. Of course I'm home sick today, so that probably makes it worse. My mom asked if I had a fever. In this heat, a fever would just be redundant.

I've got my fans on. I had them on high all night, and I think that's the first time I've done that this year. Saturday morning I woke up with that sick feeling in my throat. It went away when I was out with Cyn, but when I got home in the afternoon my head started bothering me. It was slightly worse yesterday. Today I woke up with a very sore throat. I was rather tired so I decided I felt bad enough to stay home. I'm going camping on thursday night, so I hope I feel better by then.

I have a slightly sore throat, too, so I took echinacea this morning. I have to be here at work today and tomorrow for the author program I'm coordinating and absolutely can't be off sick until Thursday! Fortunately echinacea, increased water intake, and adequate sleep has fended this stuff off for me throughout the past year, so hopefully it will do so again. But I think something is taking hold of lots of people everywhere - MM is sick in Ann Arbor.

I hope you feel better soon and can enjoy your camping trip!

Seems like there are a lot of people that are sick or have colds. Cyn takes zinc to avoid getting sick. It must work. I haven't known her to be sick, and I've been sick more than once since I've known her.

Could be a combination of the zinc and good anti-viral immunities. Although I take echinacea at the first sign of any problem, I'm also real fortunate to have inherited my dad's immunities. And apparently The Kid has inherited mine!

Zinc cough drops and Echinacea is the way to go.

I wish I was camping....

It is 104°f with thunderheads galore...
I feel a cloud burst at any moment...but of course we prolly won't get it

We were suposed to get some storms last night, but didn't. We'll try again tonight. It is supposed to cool off a little by the end of the week. With my luck, it will turn *cold* when I'm out there camping.
