I had the week off work, so I spent a lot of time doing yard work. Moving dirt, mostly. Wednesday and Thursday I finished cleaning out the dirt & chips from where we had the maple tree cut down. That just just a few wheelbarrow loads. I dug out the stumps of two old yew bushes. I moved good topsoil from a pile in the back to the new garden in front of the house, where I removed the bushes. It was a bit of work just digging through the weeds to get to the good soil in that pile. The weather was great - sunny with temps in the low to mid 70's. But it was warm doing all that work, so I drank tons of water.
I was pretty beat by Thursday night, when I went out to a friend's house.
Friday I had a friend over for lunch in the back yard. I did a bit more gardening in the afternoon. Nothing too strenuous. I moved some plants into the new garden. Planted some grass seed. I was still pretty beat. It rained in the evening, but that was OK, since I was mostly done outdoors.
Today is sunny and warm. It looks like it might break 80°. We're supposed to visit with friends this afternoon, in someone's back yard.
