I took off work on Friday to go to a funeral. The father of my stepdaughter's husband died. He was 84 and had been in declining health for several years.
On Saturday the temperature suddenly jumped above 80°, so I took advantage of that as best I could and did a lot of yard work. We went for a walk on some trails in the woods in a nearby park.
Sunday was still nice, though back below 70°. I still did some yard work. I got everything into shape except I still haven't touched the vegetable garden. I mowed and trimmed (or was that the previous day?)
Amazing we had two days in a row that were sunny and warm and didn't rain at all. And they were on a weekend!
Today was Memorial Day. It was cool and rainy per tradition. Or at least it seems like it's very often cool and rainy on this day. I got my tasting notes done for tomorrow, and washed the dishes. Helped with supper, and that's about it for the day.
Tomorrow night I'm doing a whisky tasting for a friend of a friend. The first time I've done one for money. Wednesday night is whisky club. Thursday night I'm meeting a friend. Saturday is the Highland Games. It's going to be a busy week.
