If I said that I was going to try to keep my LiveJournal use to a minimum, I was referring to my reading time. I can make posts using the client rather quickly, and I don't have to go looking for new responses to old posts. That's what takes up the most time.
Somedays (usually Fridays, for some reason) I post a lot.
I don't do many friends only posts, by the way. I do make a lot of protected posts, but they are usually just to one particular person. To keep e-mail communication to a minimum, Cyn and I talk via LiveJournal a lot. I do a "Cyn only" post, and she respons there. Then I can check for new messages when I have a chance, rather than having to take the time to respond every time a new message comes in. It works out pretty well (for me, anyway).
