Sixteen months after spending just over $100 to repair our microwave oven, it quit on us again. That's probably the same value per year as a new one, but I wasn't going to fix it again. Picked up the new one tonight, and installed it.
I didn't want to get the same kind as last time, since it broke (twice), but I also didn't want to drill a bunch of new holes in the wall and cabinet. We got pretty much same model as last time (though updated). A GE.
