busy week

Jeez, I'm not even posting once a week. But I've been busy.

Tuesday the 7th, we went to Chicago to see Patti Smith. Wednesday the 8th, I mowed the lawn and then visited my dad. Thursday, I had to work a couple of hours at night. Friday night was the President's Dinner, for the St. Andrew's Society. Saturday and Sunday we went to Illinois for Heather's graduation - her Master's degree! Monday night was the regular St. Andrew's meeting. Tuesday night Cyn and I went to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Wednesday, on my birthday, I went to see Alice In Chains (Doug had won tickets on the radio). Thursday, I mowed the lawn, and last night, I didn't do much of anything. Today, I worked in the yard all afternoon and evening. Then we went for custard at Culver's.

Bummer to hear that the NewNo2 weren't great. And yeah, BRMC is HELL on the ears. Generally nice fellas, though. I did this major interview with them a few years ago, and Pete let me play his acoustic guitar!

No, Thenewno2 was very good. It was just the sound that sucked, but they got it dialed in, for the most part, after a couple of songs. We bought the CD and are still impressed.

That's cool that BRMC are nice people. I couldn't tell if the brooding rock star things was just an act, or what.
