the worst score on the UN’s Gender Inequality Index

I have a hard time wrapping my head around this one. I wonder what statistics were used to come to this conclusion. I know our pay rate is not equal, and we aren't treated equally in the military...but we can show skin without being killed, our girls learn in school right along with our boys. Comparing us to countries where this is not true, then how do we still score lower? I'd be interested to find out.

The comparison is only to other 1st-world developed nations...as are all the comparisons here: Japan, Canada, European countries, etc.

Because it's filled with people who think we're better than everyone else! ;-)

But yeah, I have this problem with people who think everything is black and white. If we're not the best, we must be the worst.
