It was just brought to my attention that I never posted pictures from our visit to Tampa.

On Saturday afternoon we visited historic Ybor City. It was a cigar town, back in the day. Later it was pretty decrepit. Now it's been cleaned up. It's mostly about clubs, bars and cigars.

Okay, it's mostly cars...

This '62 De Ville was not actually in Ybor City, but it was near there, and it fits anyway.

You saw this one before, but I'm including it again, for completeness...

And because this car was parked in front of it.

They have Mardi Gras style parades, where beads are thrown everywhere, including onto the stoplights.

Tattooed cigarette-smoking girl. I love the two-toned hair.

Great pics!!! I'm familiar with Ybor because I used to go to the bars there back in the day when I was younger. Now if I go into a bar there I'm old enough to be almost everyone's father. Did you eat at any of the restaurants there?

We ate at Columbia Restaurant. Great place! We skipped the bars. And the gay clubs. And the tattoo and piercing shops. :-)

The Columbia is good. I've been there many times since I was a kid and my grandparents took me there. It's kinda touristy but a lot of locals go there. My mom likes to go there and eat in the cafe, which is the room at the east end of the building right by 22nd Street. I'll be in Tampa Monday morning until Wednesday evening so I'll see if my parents can take me there for lunch one day.

Great photos, great cars!

My favorites are the tattooed girl (perfect!), and your last black and white version, which is just super.

Yeah, it is good. And a classy place where you can be casual. Have fun!

Only the one Tattooed girl! I like her position and that she is in front of the parlor. I'm not really a fan of tattoos... honestly.

Robert and I grew up with lots of those cars around and have not stopped loving them. Our neighbors at Riverhome have some beauties that they have rebuilt themselves.

Looks like my parents are taking me to the Columbia for lunch on Wednesday before they take me to the airport. I had mentioned I was wanting to go there and coincidentally they had been talking about it.
