Saturday, and time to head home. But first, I decided to check out the "underground lake" a local told me about.

It was near Best Friends Animal Shelter. (Notice the horses are watching me.)

They gave me a map, so I drove up the canyon. It wasn't all that exciting, as caves go, but it was a nice morning to be out.

And for the heck of it, I took a little side loop, with this view across the canyon:

And this up against the canyon wall:

A Native American granary. With a pictograph on the wall.

Then back down to Kanab, and west to St. George. I took tons of pictures on this drive - I was getting pretty good at shooting from behind the wheel - but nothing really worth posting...

Until I got to the Virgin River Gorge. Wow. Huge canyon - high, steep walls, and a long, long downhill drive.

Does this look like I was going downhill? I was.

Then it turned out I had about two hours to kill before I had to be at the airport, so I got directions from Cyn, and drove on through Las Vegas, to the Hoover Dam.

It was quite a different experience than Glen Canyon Dam.

There are more people in this photo alone, than I saw at the other dam.

And then I drove back to Vegas, caught my plane, and flew home.

Whew! I'm done! I didn't think I'd ever get finished fixing up all those photos and posting about it! I hope you've enjoyed it.
