Hey Milwaukeeans, recognize any of these places?

This is the Congregation Beth Israel Synagogue. It's on Teutonia, a block north of North. It's an impressive building. I wonder what the inside looks like. It's now the Galilee Baptist Church. It was built in 1925. The original congregation moved out in 1972, and it was designated a Registered Historic Place in 1992. I don't think this is a well-known landmark, due to its location in a bad part of town.

This is Third Street south of North. The neighborhood has been fixed up rather nicely. Though the other buildings aren't quite this ornate, they're all painted like this.

The Spencerian Business College was apparently founded in 1863. I'm not sure when the building was built. It was added to the NHRP in 2008. To get here, turn North from North on 28th. Go two blocks and turn left on Wright. Or rather, don't. This is not in a nice neighborhood. I bet that's why you didn't recognize it. ;-)
