cold?

I'm really getting tired of people's complaints about the weather. Remember when I talked about that last time, when it was way below zero? And windy? That really was cold. This time, the forecast is again calling for below zero temps - overnight. OMG, it's supposed to get down to -4°! Whatever are we going to do? People, it's supposed to get up to 10 in the daytime. Get a grip.

Well, you'll get no complaints from me. If I worked outside I would complain a lot but I don't have to be out much at all. I hate what the cold does to my face with my allergy but I would much rather have cold than hot. You'll be hearing a lot of complaints from me in the summer!

If someone's complaint is "I can't handle all this cold," that doesn't bother me. But if their complaint is "it's so cold all the time, when will it end, enough already!" and just general complaints about how it's so bitterly cold, that's what I get tired of. This is Wisconsin, of course it's going to be cold. And if these people don't have to be outdoors any more than I do, I don't think they have much to complain about. And I don't think a high of ten is all that bad.

Nobody from LJ, who lives in my area, is complaining about +10° like it's an interminable deep freeze.

Sure, but it happens all winter every winter. I can handle a few complaints, but it's not just a few.

I'm sorry. Some people handle cold better than others.

I should have been more specific in my original post. It's the constant griping from some people that bugs me. And saying your hands are cold is just a statement of fact. I was outside for a while this afternoon, and it was damn cold. That's not a complaint (even if I did use the word "damn"). The point is that I'm not saying, "it's cold this sucks I'm sick of it when will it end!" And I'm not saying it while living in a place where it's normal. :-)
