It was around 60° when we left last week. Rather nice for this time of year. It was getting down to around 50° at night. We expected the weather to be similar, in the San Francisco area. It was, when we got there. Monday was only barely warm enough to sit outside at lunch time, in San Jose. Tuesday, in the Sierra foothills, was similar. Wednesday was warm up there, and warmer in San Francisco. On thursday, I was fully prepared to laugh at the tourists going to Alcatraz without warm clothing, but it stayed warm all day. Friday was a little hazier, but still nice. The only chill we experienced in the city was when walking out on Golden Gate Bridge. They said when it gets warm, it only lasts three days, and then the fog comes in. But it was still sunny and warm on saturday when we left.
So now it's near 50° and partly sunny. It's also snowing little pellets that are bouncing off the patio.
