I still can't post pictures directly from my phone.

Has anybody done this?

I can send pics to an e-mail account, and I can make a post via e-mail, but I can't e-mail them to LJ.

I haven't even gotten the pictures OUT of my phone.

And I'm usually pretty good at this sort of thing.

At first ( I think) it was that I didn't have a memory card in my phone. So I bought one.

Then I struggled to install the memory card. Tess took a look at it and so did Joe. We all THINK I did it right.

But then the computer still couldn't "find" the phone.

At which point I decided I'd use my camera.

As far as I know, there's no way to get pics out of my phone except to e-mail them, and I had to buy a $15 plan to do that. I'm grateful to finally have those pics on my computer, but the main reason I got the plan is to post pics to my LJ, on our trip. I'm going to be really disappointed if I can't do that.

I'll try Support tonight, but I was hoping maybe someone had trouble with theirs and has the insight to tell me what they did.

I had to buy a special connector also, to get the pictures uploaded from the phone to the pc.

I didn't try the emailing them to anyone feature.

Is it possible your phone's email address isn't in your post-by-email setup?

The first night I was messing with it, I missed that part. I figured that out last night. So then I copyed the e-mail address from a message I sent to myself, and pasted it into that field.

As for your answer in Cyn's post, I did start with steps 1 and 2, like you suggested. I think I'm going to have to go to Support.

use your cell phones email address for the number at the link,

i have ATT so for example 1234567890@mms.att.net for the email address

then add a pin example 1234
take the photo and then add whateever message you want and
then send the message to low_delta+1234@post.livejournal.com

and then you would send it as a message
