A seven-year-old kid sees a bottle bobbing in the creek, and fishes it out. He got the money out, but had to have his dad cut the bottle apart to get the note out. The note read...

I have put in the bottle the very last of my money. meaning I am left pennyless. I have basically been homeless for a few weeks now, but in reality for some time. The $19 or so is of no help but really an obstacle. Holding on to it means I am only worth $19. So I am letting it go to free me. Then I don't have to worry that I only have $19. If you found it and you really feel like you need it, then it's yours. If you feel like it belongs to someone else more deserving, then maybe add to it. Good luck to you.

I do not know what to make of that. Now he has nothing instead of $19. So what. I don't get it. Maybe I'm dense or something.

If I found the $19 I would just give it to another homeless person. Does that make sense?

Yeah, that makes sense, but there aren't many homeless people in this area. The kid gave the money to the restoration of a historic theater. The family was out for a walk, and were told by someone working there that they needed money to pain the bathrooms.
