Friday was... what was friday? Nothing much happened, I think.
Saturday, I went to a Magic: the Gathering tournament with some friends. We all lost bigtime. Best record of any of us was 2-2 and a bye. While I was gone, my mom stopped by with muffins and eclairs. I had a late supper, and then Heather arrived with cake for Cyn's birthday. Homemade chocolate cake. Very good and very dense chocolate cake. I had a big hunk of that, and was full for the rest of the night. It was Heather's birthday as well, or will be soon enough to give her presents, so we gave her Apples to Apples and then played it.
Sunday, we went to Trocadero for birthday lunch, with Heather and Mike. It was very good. And they were busy, so our food was late, so we got to visit for an hour and a half. The weather was so nice, we went for a scenic drive and a walk on the beach. Then I helped a friend move a couch, and then we played Runequest (role-playing game). I sucked at that one too. I couldn't make a roll to save my life.
Last weekend, my mom gave us a bucket of cookies. I meant to take them in to work, but I kept forgetting. They were only half gone by this weekend, so I donated them to the guys for gaming today. And when the other guys were over, a couple of weeks ago, they left chips and salsa, so I put that out as well. Since we were gaming, I didn't have supper, so I just had cookies, and chips and salsa. And also sunflower seeds. And I had an eclair before that. And a ham, egg and gruyere sandwich for lunch. And don't forget the chocolate cake the previous evening. Good food, but I feel blea.

James asked me tonight where that Shadowy Men song came from. I'm like, Duh, dude, who do you think it came from? ;)

Date: 2008-05-06 04:01 am (UTC)From:Sunday: opened a box of Girls Scout Cookies (Caramel Delites). Ate them slowly throughout the week.
Thursday: bought windmill cookies. Ate a bunch.
Saturday: received bucket of chocolate chip cookies. Ate them throughout the week.
Saturday: got a plate of muffins and a plate of eclairs.
Saturday: got chocolate cake
Sunday: pawned off the other half of the cookies on gamer friends. Gave half the eclairs and some cake to kids. Ate remaining eclairs. Cookies, eclairs and half the cake now gone.
Monday: Ate one piece of cake, one windmill cookie and one Caramel Delite. I stopped by my mom's to help her with a window shade, and she asked if I needed more cookies.
Tomorrow I shall take on some muffins. With any luck, I'll be able to wipe out the rest of the cookies by the end of the week.
My mom makes a lot of cookies at once. I think Cindy and I get about half a batch, but I'm not sure. Mom doesn't realize that Cyn doesn't eat very many of them. I often take them to work to share. She gives them to us in a five-quart ice cream pail, that's at least half full. That's two-and-a-half to three quarts of cookies. Would you like me to send you some, next time?

Date: 2008-05-06 04:06 am (UTC)From:A Trocadero favorite. Smoked ham, gruyere cheese and
tomatoes smothered in béchamel sauce served hot on a
toasted batard, served with rosemary potatoes. Throw
fried egg on top, served with a croissant to call it a
“Mrs.”
I ordered the Missus, but deleted the tomato, and it was great. It was still early (for me), so it hit the spot.
