I found that on my adventure at the tunnels. At that time I didn't know where the trail was, so I hope you'll forgive me for not thinking to take an extra minute to smell it. :-) Personally, I wish I'd taken the time to get the light right.
The five petals makes it seem orchidlike, but as far as I know, (which isn't very far) orchids don't grow on stems like that.
Thanks! I like how the ferns cascade down behind it. I wasn't very familiar with my new camera, and it was very underexposed. I had to brighten it way up, and I think it would have looked a lot better if I'd still had the its full range to play with.
