So that's what Shakepseare is like. About like I expected, I guess. Though I had a little trouble following the words, I didn't have much trouble following the plot, until the third act, when things got mroe convoluted. I guess I'll have to read the book.

I've seen King Lear live, and I saw a version of it a few years ago on Masterpiece Theater with Ian Holm. The tv version of it ROCKED. It was totally cool. I was completely riveted. I actually saw the tv version before the live version, so I was totally psyched for the live version. It totally didn't do it for me, even though I liked the actor who was playing King Lear. So: if you see that Masterpiece theater is going to do the version of King Lear, take a look at it.

No, it was The Rep, in Milwaukee. We've got season tickets.

It was the second (professionally produced) play I've ever been to, and my first time with Shakespeare in any form.
