It does go away, but it takes longer for the vapor-feeling to go away than the numbness from the drug itself. And it seems to build-up too - like some component of the drug sticks-around in the system longer than the main active ingredient.

It's not surprising to me that it has that kind of action - it is an alkaloid compound, basicly "poison made by plants".

oops.. it's novocaine! Checked on-line to see if there was a good bit about the toxicity. It's derrived from cocaine HCL, one of the most famous alkaloids.

but yah, it goes away. The time I felt it the most obvious was after having novo about 5 times in 6 months, and that time I got the shivers from it (not horrible, but not fun either).
