When they dial up, do they use a dial up networking window (DUN)? There it should have areas to put in the user name and password for their ISP. Under that is an area to put the number to dial. In front of that number, they need to place *70, (include the comma). This will dial first, disabling call waiting, then the usual number will dial. If they use a dialer from AOL or anything but DUN, I don't know what they have to do for this.
