Addressing the escalation, President Bush again urged Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat to order a halt to the suicide bomb attacks against Israeli targets. Suicide bombings in the name of religion is simple terror, he said Monday.
But the president stopped short of applying to Arafat his oft-repeated own statements that those who harbor terrorists are terrorists. He said the Palestinian leader is excepted because of his past efforts to negotiate peace.

Interesting how Bush comes down on the side of the Israelis, but doesn't take a stand against Arafat. Kind of like he is talking like he supports the Israelis, but is trying not to piss off the Arabs.
