anniversary

It was our first anniversary yesterday. We celebrated in a hotel room in a whirlpool bath. We had a nice, quiet evening with each other and some wine, and candlelight. Some quality time.

I just told my girl “I don't ever want to fall out of love with you.”

There's a real dreamlike quality to the moments we spend alone together - don't get me wrong, I enjoy her company among friends immensely and never tire of watching her light up the room; but when it's just us it's as if we're completely sheltered away from the strange storms of our individual lives and everything that transpires seems like it's a piece of my subconscious living itself out...  Some imagined joy, as opposed to a real one.

It's such a wonderful thing to be able to discover and explore what real intimacy between two people can mean.  sigh. :)
