First, a 15-year-old certainly shouldn't be drinking, let alone her parents' alcohol, let alone inviting others to share it.
Secondly, these days, such parties can get out of control very quickly. Not only by those that may have been invited, but by uninvited kids (and adults!) just looking for trouble. They can cause far more serious damage than to just the liquor cabinet. When my brother's step-son was a teenager, he and my sister-in-law wouldn't leave him alone in their house at night. *He* was a responsible kid, but that's just not enough any more. He could've invited a few friends over, others could've found out about it, and that would've meant disaster. I think the parents were actually lucky to get a list of everyone at the party.
