Every week we get a few inches of snow. Then it warms up and melts, and the following week we do it again. Last week was probably eight inches of very heavy, wet snow. It actually broke branches and knocked down trees all over the area.

The day after, I got my pole saw and cut the broken branches free from the tree. I was glad I did because earlier this week, a county crew stopped and shoved them through their chipper! It was also fortunate that the branches fell on the street side of the tree.
The weekly snow has made it harder to go in to the office. I won't bother driving on days that we are supposed to get snow. A half hour commute is bad enough - why spend even more time than that in the car? And then the next day I spend shoveling. I usually go out for 20 minutes or so and later on I do it again. Then I finish up in the evening. So lately, I've only gone in one or two days a week instead of two or three.
