Saturday we drove to Chicago. I had to buy some whisky, so we made plans to meet Brenda. We sat in restaurants all afternoon and evening. It was good.
Before we left, I said that it felt like I was forgetting something. I guess I always feel that way if we're going somewhere out of town. Cindy asked the usual - "do you have your phone? Your wallet?" "Yes." I did not have my phone. I just assumed because of course I did. I always do. That was dumb. And the worst part is that I now might go another decade before forgetting it again, but she'll still be sure to ask that every single time I leave the house.
Sunday I had gaming, so I only drove half that far (Chicago is an hour and a half away). I forgot my dice.
Monday was the whisky tasting for St. Andrews, which is what I bought the whisky for. It went well except for the part that is too long to go into detail. We sold out, as usual, but not until the last minute. I had forgotten my speaking notes at work, where I printed them. Cindy very generously offered to run to her office to print them for me. I could have read them from my phone, but that's kindof a pain.
Tonight was the CoPA meeting. I didn't forget anything. Our leader forgot that I had been volunteered to present my work. I asked her about it on Sunday, and she said I could do it at next month's meeting.
It's finally feeling like Spring. Temps have been over 50°F sometimes.
