change drives me crazy
Jun. 7th, 2020 05:15 pmBecause it's hard to get rid of the coins.
I use cash whenever I can, so I always come home with coins in my pocket. I usually forget to take change in my pocket when I go to the store. Half the time I can't even use it because of how the bill totals up.
The bank no longer has a change counting machine, so I can't cash it in there. One grocery store has a self-checkout, so when I go there (which is rarely) I try to get rid of a couple of dollars-worth. But I have to feed them one at a time, so that's a pain. Another grocery store used to have a tray you could drop all your coins in, but they changed self-checkout machines, so you have to feed them. I go at night when there's no line, so people aren't waiting behind me.
It's been a long time since I've remembered to take coins, so they are piling up.
