déjà vu

I had déjà vu again tonight. I was watching an episode of Star Trek that I'd never seen, but I recognized a scene. There was about ten seconds that I had seen before. The vision was clear enough that I recalled my feelings from the previous viewing. The scene was in the mirror universe, and I was confused because it was supposed to be Star Trek, but it didn't look like Star Trek. The uniforms were different and there were no familiar people.

This time was a little different, that way. Once, when this happened, I recognized a scene from a dream I'd had and remembered. Ever since then, I've assumed that I'm seeing something that I'd already seen in a dream. This one seems like something that's very dreamlike - my dream mind making things up that are similar to things I see in real life. If I'd been lucid enough at the time, I would have realized the discrepancy and commented to myself about it, so it makes total sense that that's the feeling I got during this vision.

I usually get these visions during times of change. I think right now qualifies. And let's add to that the great stress I'm feeling. I'd gotten déjà vu a couple of times in the last several months, but it didn't seem like a time of great change. I think I'll reconsider that opinion.

Edit: I looked up déjà vu on Wikipedia, and found: Déjà rêvé (from French, meaning "already dreamed") is the feeling of having already dreamed something that you are now experiencing.
