Yesterday we were off for Independence Day. I did some gardening and mowed the lawn, and we went down to the gallery/bar to drop some pieces off.
Today, Cindy was back at work. I did some aimless wandering in the yard, did a little research on my wildflower/natural landscaping, and then cleaned the kitchen floor. It was getting ugly, so I went at it with Scotchbrite and a mildly abrasive cleaner, to get all the scum from the edges. Then I mopped it twice (once with soap, once with just water).
After supper we went out and bought a ceiling fan. I'd like to get it installed tomorrow, but I also want to head out of town and go hiking.
It was so cold for so long here, that the house has only just warmed up above its winter temperatures. Four or five days ago, I think was the first time it rose above 72° inside, which is out daytime temp for the winter. Yesterday it got up to 77°. I had been sweating while cleaning the floor today, so I turned on the air conditioning.
