happenings
Aug. 17th, 2018 06:57 pmLast weekend, our friend Dave stopped in on his way to the east coast. Some of you may remember his as i, or Farbel. We hadn't seen him since we visited Tucson in... 2005? We took him and Ritchie to the Art*Bar to see the exhibition we're part of, then out for Indian Food. The waiter there was so funny. He was a goofy Russian guy who was so sure that Dave would need at least two beers to cool down after ordering his meal "very spicy." Later he had to tell us all about these hats that said "Make America Great Again" in Russian, Alec Baldwin or someone was wearing one, but there was a misspelling so it said "Americo" or something. Anyway, we came back home and some of us played Scrabble and some of us drank whisky.
The next day we took Dave to Lion's Den park, got lunch and beer at the Fermentorium, then visited the Milwaukee Art Museum, then went out for Thai food. Came back home and played some Cards Against Humanity.
He left Monday morning. Cyn and I went back downtown in the afternoon, to take pictures of the Sculpture Milwaukee urban outdoor sculpture gallery.
Tuesday my friend Doug visited, and we went out for Himalayan food.
Wednesday, we went out to my dad's for his birthday. His 75th.
Thursday, I went to the park to see my friend's band play. They have a band there every Thursday night. I must say my friend's band was... not the best band I've seen there. Amateur sounding. They need a good singer. I sat in the back with the old people.
No plans for tonight. We might watch a movie.
And there you go.
