I went to the Highland Games yesterday. It was fun. I didn't have to work the fest, so that gave me more time to spend. I chatted with a lot of friends. Then Cyn showed up and we wandered around some more. I got some food. We saw some of my cousins, then went to watch the caber toss. It was cloudy in the morning, so I forgot about sunscreen. I think I got a lot of ray through the clouds, so when the last hour was sunny, my face got totally burned.

Then we went out to Waukesha for an art show. My friend Larry's brother is an artist. He does caricature art. That doesn't sound great, but he does it on a national level. His work is published in, and sometimes commissioned by publications like Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, etc. His work is in the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery. Here's a half-hour documentary about him. So anyway, I'd met him before a couple of times, but Cyn hadn't, so it was good to see him again. And seeing him in the context of a show gave me a chance to ask questions about his work and how he does it. Really interesting.

And then we went out to eat. By that time I was feeling pretty beat. My brain had shut down by the time I got home.

Today I worked in the yard a little bit, and went to gaming. Tomorrow I have the day of and will work in the yard.
