still frustrated
May. 31st, 2018 10:13 pmToday was looking up. It was warm, I could spend the evening working in the gardens, I my phone arrived. But I made the mistake of trying to activate my phone before I went outside. I spent almost an hour and a half trying to activate it, most of that on the phone with customer support. After an hour on the phone, trying various things, it sounded like she was getting closer to an answer. She put me on hold, and then the call ended. I called back a little later, when Cyn told me they don't have our landline as a contact number on the account. I was told that around the time the call ended, my ticket was escalated.
That means it was sent to tech support, and they would get in touch with me at some point, when they figured out what the problem was, but it wasn't possible to say when that would be. So I asked what contact info they had, and she told me my wife's e-mail. And no offer to add any. So she said I should call back. I asked when. Like, tomorrow, every hour, what? She said calling back in an hour would be good. I called back after an hour and found they had closed half an hour earlier.
These people don't know what the hell they're doing. We've been using them for what, six or eight years, and this is the first trouble I recall having. But man, it's a pain.
So tomorrow night I mow the lawn. Saturday I'm gone all day. Sunday I can work outside for part of the day. Maybe I'll take Monday off.
It's been a stressful week. All these annoying things are made worse because of the stress... which is caused by all these annoying things.
I don't want to say that it's been stressful not having a phone, but it would take quite a while to adjust to not having one. And there may be people who are trying to get hold of me who don't know I don't have one. I had to do things differently yesterday, to meet someone. My shoulder is still bothering me, and after more than a week, the person who was supposed to help me finally tried to contact me. Probably the very same day I lost my phone. Who knows when I'll get in touch with her.
Part of my stress is having so much yard work to do right now. It finally got warm and I have to get busy. And I'm so busy, I'm behind on everything else too.
