four-day weekend

My four-day weekend is ending. Today was my most productive day. I changed the light fixtures in one room of the basement from fluorescent tube to LED. I'm happy to be able to stop buying light bulbs and not have to dispose of toxic waste. Also, I went to dinner for Christmas, with the department from work. I ate way too much. I would have been fine but for dessert. I should have passed, but there was volcano chocolate cake.

Yesterday I went to lunch with a friend. Hadn't really talked with him in a while, so that was nice. He said we should go to lunch, so I took him up on it. His dad manages a building. It's an old mill that has some businesses in it, including his own, which my friend now runs. The owner of the building commissioned a life-sized bronze statue of my friend's dad. Friend says, of his dad, "I caught Norm polishing himself!"

So that's about it for my weekend.
