monster plant

Epiphyllum oxypetalum (Dutchman's pipe cactus), often known as a monster plant. Sometimes referred to as a nightblooming cereus, it is unrelated to the cereus.

It blooms only at night. We got this one from marswalker a year and a half ago. Our has only one blossom this year, its first since we've had it. The narrow petals at the back are about seven inches, tip to tip. The "cup" is about four inches across.
