Odd winter.

It stayed warm very long into the fall. It finally turned cold in December. We had almost a foot of snow on the ground, but it warmed up and most of it melted away. Then it turned bitterly cold (with no snowcover). It snowed yesterday. I was happy to see had a couple of inches. Then it was in the mid forties today, with rain. And then high winds. And now it's getting cold. It's dropped about twenty degrees in three hours. It will only get down to 20°, but the winds aren't friendly. They're in mid-teens to low-twenties, with gusts between 30 and 40. It always surprises me how low those speeds are, compared to what it sounds like.

Tomorrow's forecast calls for a high of 37° and "ice pellets". The long-range forecast says most days will get into the thirties.

not very sick

I was back to work today. Not feeling bad, just a bit worn out. Moving kinda slow. So that was four days sick, two days off work. I haven't worked a full week since the second week of December.

About twenty minutes after I got to my desk, I reached for a tissue, and pulled the last two out of the box. Perfect timing for an empty box! Fortunately I didn't need too many today, and was able to steal some from a neighbor.
