vacation's over
Jan. 2nd, 2017 09:41 pmI go back to work tomorrow. So what did I do with myself since Christmas?
Today I didn't do much except I split wood. I found a bunch of unsplit hunks of wood in the back of my shed, that may have been there from the previous owners. They were pretty big, but I was able to split them since they're so dry. I'm starting to get pretty good at it. I've got a good axe, my aim is getting better and I'm learning some tricks.
Yesterday was gaming, all day. Tough one. We had a few fatalities. Nothing that couldn't be remedied with some gold coins, though.
Saturday was New Year's Eve. We went to Chicago to visit Ravengirl. We went out to dinner and then saw Patti Smith at Park West. The show was fun, but seeing Brenda was the best part. The show was kind of odd, since it was a NYE thing. They did a lot of covers, and she talked more than usual, trying to stretch things out until after midnight. It was a late show, so we didn't get home until 3:00.
Thursday Doug came to visit. The three of us saw Rogue One, had dinner, and then Doug and I did whisky after that. I enjoyed the movie. The intro section was a mess, but after that it was pretty good.
Was Tuesday night gaming? I don't remember what I did Wednesday or Friday. Probably not much.
I'm actually looking forward to getting back into a routine.
