Violent Femmes concert

A few weeks ago, a friend called to say he was having a whisky tasting. I said I'd go. It was on a Thursday night, and I never have plans in advance for weeknights. I then checked my calendar, and found that was the only weeknight I had plans for the entire year. Friends wanted us to come to the park to see their son's band play. He was in town from Washington DC. I've known him for something like 25 years, so I kinda had to go.

So that was two things on the same night. Then I realized that was the night of the Violent Femmes concert at Summerfest. I had to go to that. Fortunately, one show was early and the other late, so I could see a little bit of the Muddy Crows, and then see the Femmes. I even got there early enough to see Midwest Death Rattle open for the Femmes. Though I only saw about half an hour of the Muddy Crows.
