over-the-top
May. 19th, 2015 11:26 pmWe had some coworkers in from out of the country. Gave them the quintessential American experience - Burgers at AJ Bombers. Leo had a double burger with Jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, peanut butter and a fried egg. Poutine on the side (yes, I know that's Canadian, but it's excessive). That's French fries with cheese and gravy (here in Wisconsin, we use cheese curds). For more over-the-top experience, we took him to Rumpus Room and gave him Octomore (peaty Scotch whisky).
Leo says that in Holland, they eat meat for dinner three or four times a week. We told him that we generally have meat at lunch and supper every day. Maybe for breakfast on weekends. He said that they will split a chicken breast for their dinner meat. Phil told him that he likes going to the deli in the grocery store, and getting a rotisserie chicken for dinner (for four bucks), and eating the whole thing.
