busy saturday
Oct. 12th, 2014 01:06 amWe met some friends early today (meaning, before noon) for a walk around a little nature preserve. Then came back here by 11:30 or so, and we had a picnic in the family room. Their girls are cute, and we hadn't seen them in quite a while.
In the afternoon we went to the south side for a photowalk. Saw some fall colors along Oak Creek. As usual, we moved much faster than the rest of the group, and left them behind. I wanted to walk a little more briskly, so decided we'd go down to the beach on the south end of the park. Nearly there, someone saw us and gave us a ride to the dam. So we walked over a mile there. But then had to walk about two miles, all the way back to the car, from the dam, which we hadn't intended to go to. Then we got home really hungry and had leftovers.
I was trying to get through my backlog of photos when a friend called. He happened to be in town, so he wanted to stop by. We hadn't seen each other in over a year. It was good catching up, but I've got work to do! No, seriously, it was good to see him. It's just that I have things to do.
Won't be able to work on photos tomorrow. I've got to get our presentation done for Monday night. My dad and I are doing a thing on whisky making, for the St. Andrew's meeting. And also I'm gaming tomorrow night.
