I took Thursday and Friday off work to get some things done around the yard, and to use up some vacation days. I mowed the lawn, trimmed the bushes, dug the weeds out of the "raspberry" patch, weeded the vegetable garden, things like that.

Yesterday, we went to Irishfest. Reportedly, the largest Irish-stuff festival in the world. Aside from Ireland itself, I guess. We saw some Irish bands, including Beoga, and Sharon Shannon. We saw a Galician performer, Carlos Nunez. Galicia is a Celtic area in northern Spain. They were all quite good. We saw the lame little Irishfest parade. Oops, did I say that out loud? The fest had a focus on Scottish music this year, but we didn't see any of the Scottish bands.

Tons of people we know where there, but we only saw one of them. Of course, I didn't go to the cultural area, to see my friends there at the St. Andrew's tent.

Today we're going to Madison.
