Marge's memorial service was this evening. It was nice. A friend of Marge's who is a pastor did the service. Cindy did the eulogy. It was really nice. I expect she'll post it here. Then Pastor Ruth read a thing that Marge's old minister wrote (he couldn't be there). Then one of Marge's former coworkers at the IRS read a nice long tribute to her. There was a pretty good sized group of people for the service, and a lot more people paid their respects earlier and left.
We had ordered food, but not everyone ate any, so there was a lot left. We took half of it home. Cindy and I were there about an hour ahead of time to set up, but it didn't take that long. People started arriving shortly after 4:00. The service itself started at 7:00, and we didn't leave until after 9:00, so we were there for six hours. It was very tiring for Cyn, who had to meet everyone. She had to talk with people she didn't know, or hadn't seen in a long time, and do it the entire time. And not eat well.
But everyone got through it, with a few years shed. Now back to the paperwork, and cleaning out the apartment.
