I spent a good part of the week, and all day Saturday getting ready for the Drammit Scotch tasting. Both putting together tasting notes, and getting my distillery slideshow ready.

We had nine whiskies, most of which were good. I was disappointed that two members couldn't make it. One was to bring a guest, so we were down one whisky, which was fine, IMO. The other guy who didn't make it, seemed to have trouble choosing a whisky, and I feel kinda bad since he e-mailed me asking for help, but I thought he was going in with another guy who e-mailed me at the same time, so I didn't answer him.

My slideshow lasted over an hour, so my throat is pretty messed up today. I got home about 3 am, so I'm tired today as well.

Whiskies were:
Bruichladdich Rocks (pretty basic)
Delilah's by Compass Box (very woody)
Benromach Origins batch 3 (something bothered me)
Aultmore 5 yr Master of Malt (very strong, but decent)
Bunnahabhain 8 yr MacPhail's (very light, and somewhat complex)
Talisker Storm (not what you'd expect. I liked it)
Benromach Peat Smoke 7yr (decent)
Edradour Ballechin #3 (my favorite of the night, peaty and porty)
Laphroaig Quarter Cask

Our theme was young whiskies. Everything under ten years old.
