image searches
Aug. 5th, 2013 08:15 pmFor some reason, not long ago, we started getting tons of hits on our images in Flickr. Since I'm a "Pro" member, they give me stats, including where all the hits come from. The referrals include a whole lot of searches, mostly from people using the Flickr search tool. If you've ever seen the results of searches, you probably won't be surprised at what comes up for what searches. I still have to laugh sometimes.
I made a list of one day's referring searches. Search terms, followed by the number of hits, followed by my image, for some of the odd ones. All of my images are work-safe except one, though many of the original searches are not. Which makes the fact that my images come up, pretty odd. Like, you can guess what kind of thing comes up when you search for "wife polaroid." But you really have to wonder why, when someone's searched for that, they click on an image like this.
