One of my Flickr contacts offered this with a photo of odd religious behavior in his native India...

The price we pay for God is astronomical in terms of loss of common sense but it keeps the people content and happy with their fate on Planet Earth.

people who died

Someone I knew (long story, but we'll just call her an acquaintance) just died. She was a Christian Scientist (didn't know that), so didn't take any medication for her Parkinson's (didn't know she had that). She was visiting NYC for a trade show, and died of a heart attack.

That's so sad... on several accounts.
