busy day off
Jun. 27th, 2012 10:47 pmI had the day off. I did yard work. I got the usual slow start, but maybe not quite as slow as usual, and I was up kinda early, so I was ahead of the game. I actually left the house before noon!
I went to the store to get mulch. I did some watering. I pulled out some of the bricks from around the round garden, and repositioned them to be more level. I spread a lot of mulch. Did more watering. That doesn't sound like much, but I didn't screw around too much this afternoon, so I'll call it a success.
Being off work, I was supposed to make supper, but (1) I wasn't sure of all we were supposed to be having, and (2) 4:30 seems to early for supper, so I waited another fifteen minutes until Cyn got home, and then I helped with supper.
After that, I did a little more work outside - mostly cleanup. Then it was perfect outside, so I sat and read a magazine. About 9:00, I went over to my mom's to help with computer stuff.
The forecast called for 92° or something. Being near the lake, it only got up to 86°, as far as I could tell. That was around 1:00, and then it cooled off a little bit. 80 is perfect, though it was hot in the sun where I was working. When the sun was down far enough, it really was perfect.
