too much

Did another Scotch tasting last night. Drank too much.

We sampled Tomatin 15yr, Balvenie Doublewood, 14yr Caribbean Cask and Single Barrel, Macallan Cask Strength, Kilchoman Summer 2010, Highland Park 18yr Signatory and Talisker 10yr. So that's eight. I think we spaced them out enough that we weren't going too fast. And I don't remember resampling many. I was pretty tipsy by the time we were done. Once most of the other people had left, I was feeling somewhat stable, once again, but Brook didn't want us to leave. He lured us to his bar with three more whiskies. So I tasted three Cadenheads - Bruichladdich 12yr, Benromach 10yr and Cardhu 13yr - all cask strength at about 57% alcohol. This put me back over the top. I hardly even tasted these. As someone else put it last night, you get tongue fatigue.

I wasn't too worried about it, since I wasn't driving, but I really need to drink less at these things. I didn't feel great when I got up this morning. Only a very slight headache, and a slight queasiness, but my equilibrium was off. And I didn't feel hungry until well after noon.
