Friday, I had the day off work. I took my car up to Port Washington to have the oil changed. While they had it, I walked down to the old lighthouse and back (2.5 miles). Then I drove down to the marina and walked out on the breakwater for some pictures.
After supper, Cyn and I went to my dad's show. He and four other artists had a show at the Cultural Center. We spent a little over an hour there. It was nice, and the artists were all really good.
Then we drove to Indiana to visit vocalista. Saturday morning, she drove us down to Turkey Run State Park, along with her daughter and a friend. Turkey Run is a beautiful park any time of year, but in mid-October the trees are gorgeous. It was warm and sunny, and we hiked around the canyons for several hours (miles).
This morning, Lynda took us to Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, and we walked the Cowles Bog Trail for a while. This was so nice, we didn't really want to be leaving. We didn't get on the road until 1:00.
I got home just in time for gaming, but in my absence, to be nice to me, they moved gaming out of my house, to Chad's in Waukesha. I wouldn't have minded gaming at our house after the trip, but I sure wasn't going to get back in the car for another 45 minute drive, after the nearly three-hour trip home.
But that's okay, because I could relax and work on photos. It was a very enjoyable weekend.
