LJ was the victim of a malicious exploit. Check your latest entries, for something that looks like this:

If you see this, this means that someone gained access to your journal. They (it) edited that post and embedded that code. Then they took your e-mail address, whether it was hidden or not.
If you've been infected, you should:
1) Yank the embeds out of the entry.
2) Make sure the e-mail address attached to your account is active, under your control, and has a good password.
3) Be aware that you may be receiving more spam than usual for a while, and be careful about clicking links in your e-mail, providing private info to people who e-mail you, and so on.
4) Check your journal entries to make sure that the security level of all/many/any of your posts has not changed.
